Recording who receives the corpus, and the forms a nominee or legal heir files on the subscriber's death. Keeping nominee details current is what keeps a claim quick and document-light.
Who receives the corpus
Nomination
Nominees are captured at registration and can be updated later. NPS supports up to three nominees with declared percentage shares.
Nomination at account opening
Nomination is first recorded on the registration form (CSRF / CSRF-G / CS-S1) when the account is opened.

Filed by the registered nominee or legal heir on the death of a subscriber, with prescribed supporting documents.
